What if just one minute could change how you feel?
It feels like emotional exhaustion, digital noise, and everyday worries constantly fill our minds these days. Even music, which used to be a comfort, has started to feel overloaded with the same old patterns and artificial experiences. But out of all that comes something different, something personal and deeply human: Apstara's new project, One Minute Mantras I: Awakening.

It's more than just an album; it's an experience made for people who feel like they don't even have time to catch their breath. Each track acts like a tiny emotional doorway: a minute to pause, find clarity, and reconnect. It's short, yes, but packed with meaning.

Apstara

While a lot of today's meditative music often feels generic or made by machines, Apstara is doing something totally different: bringing in the human touch. The artist herself wrote, performed, and produced the whole project, with live recorded, ethereal voices that make each mantra feel warm, natural, and deeply spiritual.
The idea isn't to impress you with how complicated it is, but to remind you of something important: sometimes just a moment is all it takes to get back to yourself.
One Minute Mantras I: Awakening is the first of four volumes that will eventually create 31 one-minute mantras —one for each day of a long month— almost like every day needs its own little ritual to find emotional balance.
Behind Apstara is Juliet Lyons, a singer, songwriter, and sound creator who has worked professionally in music for film and television for over two decades. Her work blends technical skill with a nearly meditative touch, building soundscapes where the voice doesn't just sing; it guides, supports, and soothes you.
But maybe the most touching part of this project is where its quiet philosophy comes from. Lyons lives with a rare chronic illness that impacts her breathing. Instead of holding her back, that experience became a silent teacher, showing her the value of being present, feeling grateful, and appreciating the delicate sacredness of every moment. That truth runs through all of Apstara's music.
