In a world where music usually comes from getting together, The Take Down does things differently. They show that real artistic can happen even without being in the same room. This project is the result of over ten years of working together between BenOaks, a producer from Philadelphia, and 66notes, a singer from Des Moines. It's one of the coolest and most inspiring stories in indie music today. These two artists have never met face-to-face, but they've created a super personal and deep sound that makes it seem impossible they've always been apart.

Bones Culture's music is like a safe space for people who want something deeper than just tunes. It's got vibes you can feel, vocals that hit you right in the heart, and a sound that's both dreamy and down-to-earth. From albums like ALLiWANT and The Numinous, to songs like Empathy, Embrace Me, and Not From Around Here, their art looks at how delicate we are as humans. It's the kind of feeling you only get when two creative people totally understand each other.

Behind the music is Benjamin Oaks. He started making music back in 1993 with just a simple drum machine and a lot of curiosity. Since then, his skills have crossed over into different styles, making a sound that feels like trip-hop mixed with soulful vibes and raw hip-hop. He doesn't just make songs but builds entire musical worlds, bringing musicians together and changing how people work together online. As the guy who started Bones Culture, BenOaks turned his idea into a worldwide group of musicians, rappers, and singers. They all work together from different places to build something bigger than just music: a community. His work with 66notes began with a Craigslist ad searching for singers and turned into a real friendship and a way to show how distance can turn into something creatively inspiring.
