Berlin-based songwriter and musician Karlo Bromsen is entering a new creative chapter with “Parlin Papito,” the first single from his solo project. Released on July 10, the track blends indie pop, electronic elements and playful storytelling, creating a surreal little world where music and visuals become part of the same experience.

Known as the voice behind the indietronic act Bromsen, Karlo now explores a more personal and experimental side of his songwriting. “Parlin Papito” is light-hearted, quirky and intentionally unconventional, pairing catchy melodies with a DIY visual aesthetic and a universe filled with strange characters, absurd situations and everyday chaos.

A key part of the release is its music video. The main character was originally drawn by Karlo’s son, Willi, and that simple drawing became the starting point for the entire visual universe surrounding the song. From there, Papito’s world began to take shape, filled with bees, bottles, family chaos and oddball villains.

Despite its playful nature, “Parlin Papito” carries a genuine emotional hook. Karlo describes the track as fun and light-hearted while hoping that both the song and its video leave listeners with a smile. The result is a release that doesn't take itself too seriously, yet remains carefully crafted around a distinctive musical and visual identity.

Karlo Bromsen’s solo work continues the artistic exploration that has defined his career, moving between indie pop, experimental songwriting and offbeat storytelling. His music feels like the soundtrack to a forgotten Beat novel — full of endless roads, surreal shadows and faded poetry, but with a playful sense of curiosity at its core.

With “Parlin Papito,” Bromsen opens the door to a new creative universe where music, illustration and storytelling come together. What began as a small hand-drawn character by his son has grown into the centerpiece of an imaginative world, showing how a simple family drawing can become the beginning of an entirely new artistic story.
