ROMUL

born in portugal

Lena Romul's career shows her amazing skill and discipline. After doing well on Szansa na Sukces and making it to the finals on Mam Talent, she became the first female to win the top prize at the International Jazz Juniors Competition at just 19, heading up her own band and writing songs. Instead of sticking with jazz, she used her skills as a starting point to try other things. She has worked with all sorts of people, from Leszek Biolik in jazz, to Pablopavo i Ludziki in urban folk, plus Majka Jeżowska and Tabu.

This varied experience, along with studying jazz and music therapy, has helped her shape her own unique artistic style. She doesn't just switch between styles because it's trendy; she blends them together to make her own sound. It combines careful jazz techniques, a rock vibe, personal singer-songwriter stories, and Slavic touches from her upbringing.

Romul

Right now, Romul is getting ready to release her fourth album, Hiperfiksacja. It seems to be her most thoughtful, mature, and straightforward piece to date. It's not just a bunch of songs; it's a project that looks into hyperfixation: a state of really strong, sometimes intense, focus on feelings, relationships, and experiences.
