Skyy ZNO

Skyy ZNO is adding four more tracks to ExitUs, expanding his seven-act debut with a new chapter focused on freedom, power, and what comes after survival. The additional songs arrive this Saturday and push the album beyond its original structure, giving the project another direction without losing the ideas at its core.

When ExitUs arrived earlier this year, its seven acts told a story shaped by movement, identity, and survival. Co-produced with nine-time Grammy winner Joe Nicolo, the album moved through Afrobeats, Soul, Reggae, Salsa, and Dembow, connecting different sounds and influences along the way. ZNO described the project as the โ€œphysics of survival.โ€

The new material picks up where that story left off. โ€œARUANDAโ€ opens the four-track addition with percussion and Portuguese vocals, turning freedom into something almost ritualistic. On โ€œKing Turned God,โ€ ZNO takes a darker approach, using betrayal, opposition, and past experiences as fuel for a song built around confrontation and self-determination.

โ€œBeyond the Horizonโ€ shifts the mood again, with layered vocals and a steady rhythm creating a more reflective atmosphere. The final track, โ€œSAMADHI,โ€ slows everything down. Built around a low-frequency hum, the song turns inward, touching on pressure, ambition, visibility, and the value of simply stopping for a moment.

Together, the four tracks change the way ExitUs can be heard. What began as a seven-act project about enduring difficult circumstances now continues into a space where survival is no longer the only concern. The question moves from what remains after everything is taken to what becomes possible once there is nothing left holding you back.

For Skyy ZNO, that perspective comes from a life spent moving between different worlds. Born in the United States and raised partly in the Dominican Republic, the Afro-fusion singer, songwriter, and composer grew up surrounded by music. His great-grandmother played piano, his family includes several producers and artists, and his cousin is Ab-Liva of The Clipse. Music, as he describes it, was less a decision than something he inherited.

He recorded his first song at seven for a school math project and joined a music group at fourteen, spending the next four years learning how to perform. At eighteen, he left the group and began developing his own sound. Since then, his music has drawn from a wide range of influences, including the spiritual side of Bob Marley, the cinematic atmosphere of The Weeknd, and Prince's approach to creative freedom.

Released in June 2026 through ZNOVerse Entertainment and SMN Records, the label Skyy co-founded with his father in 2024, ExitUs established that sound through seven connected acts. Working alongside Joe Nicolo, whose production credits include Lauryn Hill, Nas, and Billy Joel, ZNO built the album around Afrobeats, Soul, Salsa, Dembow, and Reggae while exploring the history of the African diaspora and the resilience that emerged from it.

The project has also begun reaching audiences beyond the music itself. Her Majesty Queen Diambi Kabatusuila Tshiyoyo Muata of the Democratic Republic of Congo has publicly endorsed the album, describing it as a living map of the African musical odyssey. With more than 300,000 Spotify streams and over one million YouTube views accumulated before ExitUs was released, Skyy ZNO enters this next chapter with an audience already paying attention.
